A pair of matching 91" mid-century modern tuxedo sofas in the style of Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin, estimated circa late 1960s-1970s. This is the tuxedo silhouette at its cleanest- track arms level with the back rail, crisp right angles throughout, and a fully upholstered platform base in place of exposed legs.
Reupholstered in a neutral cream, light blue, gold and taupe damask, with matching bolster pillows at each arm and a tailored fabric strap folded over the top of each arm, finished with a covered button.
A genuinely rare find: matching vintage sofa pairs are hard to come by at this scale - at 91" each, finding two full-length sofas that match in period, proportion, and condition is uncommon. A strong find for an MCM collector or a designer looking to reupholster a true matched pair for a client.
Since being reupholstered, the sofas have been used exclusively in a professional studio production setting - never placed in a residential home.
91"W x 34"0 x 28"H each. Two available - offered as a matched pair.
No maker's tag is present; the proportions and detailing are consistent with Milo Baughman's classic tuxedo sofa design for Thayer Coggin, the attribution used here as a style reference rather than a confirmed maker claim.
